Here's some examples of what's been going on to the Genesis set. 92% of the covers have either been reworked, replaced, constructed from scrap, or cleaned. The results:

These covers are not the right size so I wouldn't recommend using them until the full set has been released.

hey Toddofwar/WiiPimp, looks a lot like some of the covers i used in my full genesis set i made a few month back :P as mastershoes current one had about 150+ that were either missing the back, or the spine, or both. as well as a good 300+ covers missing all together.

thanks to djshok, many of these had already been remade as highquality repros. which helped a lot.

http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?16572-Repro-cover-art-and-general-appreciation-thread!

i highly reccomend checking out his work, its top notch.

and his mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/?5gm45wyxr3xvv#usfdr8ieb8xc4

covers simply need to be resized properly.

also http://segaretro.org/Category:Mega_Drive_games had a few good missing scans here and there that i used as well.

and FYI guys, i just tested about 100 psx games the last week(though ended up only making 50 or so covers... after deeming about only that many being functional enough to make covers for).. and i can say that the "official" wiisx compatability list has all kinds of inaccuracies. many games i tested i found DID infact work even though they were listed as otherwise. and some games listed as working didnt work at all, or needed a specific region in order to work right. also sometimes a .bin version of a game will work when the .img version tested didn't work at all. you need to realize there are MANY different psx dumps floating around, most of which were dumped by random people. and people should really note that due to CDDA being unemulated that a great deal of these games wont have music. there should really be a CDDA "yes or no" box in the compatability list.... i had to sort all my working games as CDDA and NON-CDDA...

this list helped me in my psx testing/cover making:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_1_games_with_CD_audio_tracks

some people may not care about music in games.. but i simply cant play a videogame without its original music.. really kills the experience for me...

i dont really bother coming in the forums much these days but its cool to see you guys are still working on shit. keep up the good work.

party.

Thanks for the heads up seam. But I already knew about djshok for sometime now. I even requested a few covers here and there and showed him what I was using his covers for. He personally thought it was cool after I sent him pics using wiiflow snapshots. I have searched just about every ends of the internet the find the best quality covers then do any cleaning, resizing, converting, or what not to them and even put together the rest myself using his templets. We have one of the best Genesis cover sets out there cuz it's a big collection from all over with the rework it needed.

yea i know you already knew, guess you didnt see where i said "hey Toddofwar/WiiPimp" yea i saw that you joined the forum there. ive had an 800+ cover set of genesis that i made for myself since the fall(including shoks) but good work. if you guys ever get a full SNES set done, thats something i'd like to see.. as there are 350+ covers missing currently... maybe 400+??? its quite a bit. keep it up!

No I didn't notice the name, my bad. According to my SNES folder I got 549 covers left to complete the SNES collection. I already started an update pack for it as well.

@Dump, i also noticed several on your "not working" list that are infact working.

command and conquer red alert
command and conquer red alert - retaliation
strider 2
street fighter alpha 2
quake 2
raiden project(for the screen issue you need to go into the screen options and change it to fit your screen ;)

there were some others, but i dont have the list in front of me. just try different dumps/regions etc. you also had several listed as "working" that i thought were too slow... like dead or alive for instance i thought was too slow to be playable.. even the crash bandicoot games were too slow for me.. but i suppose thats all personal opinion.

Hey seam, nice to see ya stick yer head in here, it's been awhile man! I eventually got that WonderSwan set up too, i had forgotten about it for a minute :)

ToW - I'm going through everything genesis now, but it'll be a minute before i get anything posted for that set. @Seam - I'm interested in your set as well if you're willing to share, is it completely different? Let's face it, the Genesis set has needed a big update for awhile now, i'd like to get the best available covers together and do it right the first time, so the more the merrier, ya know?

Either way thanks to ya both for your efforts past and present!

Awesome! :yay: That gives me some time to get together a final update for Genesis before it's re-released.. which I'm working on now and some PSone CD covers in between.

Where would the flat covers go to show when I dont have a full cover? I saw on page 11 where it said that they would go in the wiiflow/covers folder but they dont appear for me. would I have to change the emulator ini file? What would I change it to? (I tried adding lines EX: 2Dcovers=covers ...etc.... I tried many combination and I am stumped)
Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

You also have to change the path in the ini file of the plugin you are using.
