We'll see how it goes. I'm useless on the story extraction font recognition end though. Sorry.

This is looking great.

I'd like to be a part of the translation team I can also help proofread.

This is Hakurou. A majority of the translations I put up were his.

Glad to have you aboard once more.

Just found a way to optimize video compression, tried a muxed video+audio stream and I noticed absolutely no quality loss, now let's just pray it'll be enough to optimize the 372 MB I have to get rid of (all videos from both UMD's make a total of 1.0 GB, and I need to reduce them to 628 MB so everything can fit in a single ISO).

Maybe I'm saying a stupid thing but...did you remove "install data" and "update" from ISO? Update is useless and we don't need "install data" if we play from ISO but probably you know it :)

Sorry if I said something stupid but I was trying to help :)
Keep going guys, you are doing an excellent work :)

Very nice.

Also, I can help with the character recognition once the time comes.

Yes, that helped a little and saved some MB's, but still a lot to optimize. The problem is that there is no way to load files bigger than 2GB, even though the ISO format has no theoretical size limit, once a file goes over 2GB its size is recognized as negative due to an overflow, and since Type-0 has only one (big)file, we have to deal with that...

Also thanks Atistian, character recognition will be important since one miss-recognized character will appear wrong EVERY time in the extracted script.

Hmm maybe u could ask someone, who knows much about the PSP itself (if u don't know it well urself, I mean). Maybe someone can make a patch of sorts for bigger files then 2 GB. Or do I miss a point here?^^ Im not in it myself, I just followed the PSP haxor scene a bit and it shouldn't be impossible right?

Unfortunately that's a limitation of the ISO9660 file system. For example, a standard DVD (level 2) can't have files bigger than 2GB either. Obviously a patch would be possible, but in that case, the PSP's firmware would have to be patched too.

That's what I meant. There are some Semi-Patches, that disappear after PSP restart. There was a case for MGS: Peace Walker, where the PSP did get stuck after a certain point, with such a Semi-Patch it worked. But to be honest, I don't know what that patch does so it is a hypotheses. U could ask some good coders who work on the Firmwares itself. People who did work on FW's are Coldbird and Wololo. Don't know if they can help u but as I remember Coldbird has his own Blog somewhere, I can search for him if u like. But if u think it is impossible with the limitation of the ISO9660 fs then I will leave it to u ;)
