Here's the issue, I want to play Wii games from my USB device but I'm having a lot of trouble. I've been spending days trying to adjust my Wii for this but to no avail, so please someone help me!!

First of all I only use a MAC computer. (But I'll into that later.)

I've been following this tutorial video right here.

I've followed all the steps.

I installed the IOS236 Installer (Although I had to wait two hours playing my ORIGINAL Wii games (Wii Sports) after Dr.Clipper trolled me about that piracy question. So that was nice -_-

After that I installed the cIOS rev20b Installer
Then I installed the USB uploader gx channel successfully using WAD Installer 1.7

But...

When I plug in my 32GB USB device into my Wii then run USB uploader gx, I keep getting the message.

ERROR: USB device cannot be found now switching to channel list mode.

To make matters worst I don't know how to get WBFS Manager (On my MAC computer) to read my 32 GB flash drive. Every time I insert my flash drive to my MAC, it doesn't recognize or do anything.

And if this helps here is my latest syscheck I ran today.

sysCheck v2.1.0b19 by Double_A and R2-D2199, Nano

First off you installed an older cios. The newest one is d2x and wipes the floor with the cios you installed.

To install it first download and extract this to the apps folder: http://code.google.com/p/d2x-cios-installer/downloads/detail?name=d2x cIOS Installer v3.1.zip&can=2&q=
After that download and extract this to the same folder as above: http://code.google.com/p/d2x-cios/downloads/detail?name=d2x-v10-beta52.zip&can=2&q=
It'll overwrite ciosmaps.xml but thats ok.

Now run Cios Installer in HBC and select revision 52(press right at version select)base 56, ios 249(and after this install go back and install to 250 using the same stuff).
*EDIT* And yes its perfectly fine to overwrite the older IOS with a newer IOS.

Chances are installing this might fix your "issue" ... maybe... make sure you've formatted your hard drive to fat32. After you've formatted and updated your IOS then try seeing if the HD detects in usb loader gx. OH! and make sure you're using the latest USB Loader GX: http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-...r_GX_V3_0_AllinOnePackage_IOS249.zip&can=2&q= and then download the latest svn and replace the original boot.dol with this newest one: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?7kjj0fcr6kcq2p0

Finally IF its detected then you're free to go about and put all of the Wii games you want using WBFS Manager.

*EDIT*!!!!!!!!
I'd also try another manager like this one: http://sourceforge.net/projects/wiibafu/files/Wii Backup Fusion 1.1/ as you're using an outdated manager.

Excuse sir, every time I "unzip" the d2x-v10-beta52.zip in the link you gave me, it just keeps opening up another "zip" folder. Then that folder keeps opening up another "zip" folder, it's basically endless "unzipping".

Is there another link?

Thanks for responding by the way. I really appreciate it. :)

I have the new cIOS Installer in my "apps" folder right now.

He gave you direct link to the .zip file, making you unable to read the file's description saying "Actually, it's not a ZIP, it's a .7z"

Solution -> rename .zip into .7z

Which one do I choose? ( d2x v4, d2x v5, or d2x v6 ) When I'm running Cios Installer?

Those are all old. You should be extracting the second file like he said to get the newest version.

However one thing strikes me as odd, and since no one else has mentioned this:
Why are all your IOSes trucha bugged? HBC is going to run with IOS58 and shit bricks and display upside down because it doesn't like trucha bugged IOSes.
Edit: Oh wait I saw that it's running with IOS61. But that's also weird. It would be much better if it ran with IOS58 as it would give USB2.0 access to all homebrew.

And make sure you're using the correct USB port for it to be recognized. I think it's the bottom one.

I don't know how to use the new Cios Installer, he gave vague instructions. Like I said, the only options for the cIOS are d2x v4, d2x v5, or d2x v6 which one do I choose?

What does svn stand for? I'm sorry I've never heard of that.

There's nothing wrong with that file. If you're opening it up and it keeps showing zip files then try another program to open the .zip. I use Winrar but for macs I'm sure theres something like 7zip.

Subversion. Just think of SVN as beta updates for a program.

Extract the cios installer to the apps folder, and then extract d2x to same folder as Cios Installer(d2x-cios-installer) it'll ask you to overwrite ciosmaps.xml so select yes. When you start up Cios Installer in HBC just press right and select d2x v10.

I have to admit I haven't actually used that one myself either. I used ModMii to generate d2x WAD files which I simply installed. That seems to be the easiest way to do it, but ModMii may take some time to update to the newest version (however it seems to update quickly)

You know what, I'm just going to legitimately buy the damn wii game I wanted for so long. I don't want to risk breaking my Wii or damaging my laptop. It's not worth the hassle, at least I'm able to play movies from my USB on the HBC so that's good I guess. Hacking is definitely not my field.

Thank you very much for your help by the way, later.

What I mean by this is that I bought a new game to get my mind off this ordeal. Now this usb uploader problem doesn't concern me anymore, for now.

In case anyone assumes, I never stated that I wanted to pirate a game. Nor were my intentions were to pirate a game. I'm against piracy by all means.
