Title says it all, I am waiting on a copy of lego batman or smash bros before I can play about with vWii modding and channel installation, but I wondered if vWii was networked (or sand boxed within WiiU with no network-ability), and if the iPlayer app would work?

Can the channel even be installed to vWii safely?

Edit: I now know the vWii can play Wii games online :)

How would we know if the banner will brick the vWii?

Can the iPlayer channel be transferred from my old wii (fake ticket version) to my WiiU vWii throught the transfer tools?

Fakesigned titles will not transfer using the official tool. You should just be able to install it the same way you installed it on the Wii originally, assuming it was a wad.

anything fake signed will not transfer from your wii.i have no experience with this particular app, but assuming it is just that, an app. it shouldn't effect system files. if you're installing a forwarder (wad) it would be a good idea to first install it to a wii console (which has the ability to do a nand restore) and see if the banner bricks your system before going ahead and 'testing' it on your vwii (which without the proper hardware tools could leave your vwii bricked).

The WAD I use has been installed on many many Wii's, by myself, its 100% safe.

Cheers for the tip :)

Please don`t say its 100% save its a vWII not a wii and doing everything on the wii will not say it will work 100% save on vwii.

That's not the point of my post.

I replied that I personally know its 100% safe to install on my Wii.

I have no idea if its safe on vWii and, as such, haven't stated that it is.

If you've verified that the banner is good, then you shouldn't be at risk of bricking. However, that isn't necessarily any guarantee that the channel will work (thought it most likely will).
