First of all ill admit to being a total noob at all this and have no clue on how the 3DS works apart from what ive read on here but, there seems to be alot of talk about verified and signed encryption, if the 3DS is to recognise this signature does it not have to be the same for each game. This would meen that in the encrypted data there would be the same sequence repeated in every game, a sequence of letters and or numbers, if this is true is it not possible to sign non-Nintendo products like roms or firmware with this signature so the system recognises it.
Just a taught probably miles of the mark but whatever :)

It's not how it works, it's encryption, not just a copy-pasted string.

Out of curiosity through these 72 pages of ideas, are there any good ones? Maybe someone could comb through it and form a comprehensive list of "Best of" ideas.
This thread is specifically created to contain all the "Hay guyz maybe we send it hacks over wifi and it works!" shit.

A while ago I found a forum topic about someone who was wondering about how to launch 3DS ROMs from their flashcart. Everyone told them that 3DS flashcart firmware wasn't at that point and that nobody had figured out how to launch downloaded games from the flashcarts, and that the ROMs were just for backup purposes.
Then someone commented on wanting to be able to launch games from the SD card instead of a flashcart, like the PSP with its memory card.
I've been looking into PS2 and Xbox modding recently, and one method of Xbox modding is getting the Xbox to launch a savegame that's been hacked, and for the PS2, one method is getting the PS2 to launch what it THINKS is native code.
Last night I was playing the Rhythm Thief demo on my 3DS, and then it hit me:
What if we hack the demos to run custom code? We could get them to launch full games, custom GUIs or even custom firmware installers!

Nintendo encrypted the saves, it seems.

Well, take a look at 3dbrew.com.

It has a lot of information about it.
They even have a save decrypter called Save DeEncrypter3DS.
Also, this site has a list of known exploits (there are none :P), known failures (there are many) and their current work.

BTW I have an idea. I know nothing about this hacking thing but...
I downloaded a program called Connectify, that turned my PC into a router, so I could access internet on my 3DS through my computer. The thing is: this program also allows LAN connections and Hotspot functions. Maybe... maybe it's possible to "disguise" the computer as a 3DS, connect it locally and use download-play, or other functionality . If it works, maybe the nintendo 3DS could download a modified demo from the PC.

I repeat, I know nothing about hacking, it's just an idea :)
Sorry my bad engrish ^^
