Hacking HELP.. An error has occurred.Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off.

My son updated his ds while he had an R4 card in now when he clicks on the card it says `An error has occurred.Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off.` The card is fine because i tried it on my daughters ds, i guess my son has blocked his ds, can it be unblocked?? (he was told NOT TO update! grrrr)

You'll need to download and run the update file for either DSi 1.4.5 or 3DS 4.5.x (depending on if it's a DSi or 3DS). This update file will come from the site printed on the front of the cart. You will need to run this update on the older DS you have. It's generally a .NDS file, or an update function of the latest software download.

If there is no update, then there is no way to get that cart working like it was.

Darn! the R4 card works on all our Ds`s except for new 3D one obviously blocked .... is there no codes to unblock a ds

Are you talking about a 3DS? Post in the right section -_- I have no clue what you are talking about, I only can assume you mean the 3DS was updated preventing the R4 from being recognized.

Then you are probably screwed. The new firmware blocks all flashcarts except DSTWO. The ones who make the flashcarts are trying to find access in the new firmware, companies like Acekard haven't released an update since October. So as new firmware gets released, more and more cards will not work because of the hardware that is used in the flashcarts. Once teh 3DS is fully hacked then there will be actual 3DS flashcarts.

Actually lots of flash carts have updated for 4.5.x... the DSTwo WAS the only one to have an update... for like 24 hours. Then everybody else started updating too.

Too bad Acekard didn't...and I'm a Acekard user..

I wondered if you could help me again or have any idea...... i found my sons NDSi XL what he had also blocked the R4i card (exactly the same way) & i put the 3D card into it & it works!!!! YAY so i tried to put the normal R4i card into the 3ds console but it does not come up at all like there is no game in it .... is there anyway i can convert/upgrade the R4i card to a 3Ds ??
