wiiu's nfc+pokemon=a new way to collect them all (ie skylanders type game, but with pokemon)
or
maybe pokemon stadium type game on the wiu, and you will be able to send the pokemon to the new pokemon game, for the 3ds
and the 3ds game can send pokemon the the wiiU game
What makes you think that they'll make a main series Pokemon game for wii u?! They've never done that and I doubt they will this time. If they make a new Pokémon game (I mean when they make another one) it'll most likely be on 3DS

Sprites are a stylistic choice and should stay forever.

Deal with it.
Sure thing.

Oh, wait:

...and sh*tloads more.

Looks like a stylistic choice nobody gives a dime about. :creep: And don't give me the "but the main seerieeeees..." argument - the main series are not in full 3D because they're much bigger in size and would require actual work to be rendered, and that on top of a new engine which needs to be made first, and Gamefreak is not exactly used to working.

And that I agree. If they can do all that 3D rendering for Mystery Dungeon for 3DS, than they can fucking do it for the main series.

Gambia, The
Dream come true, black/white had a full 3D city.

Yeah... a 3D city, but with ugly 2D sprites in it. If you ask me that's a mixture that almost always looks bad (except for billboard grass and stuff like that).
That being said, if the next game in the franchise will have the same old, worn-out 2D pixel sprite look again I'll definitely quit the series for good. I just can't see, nor stand it anymore. That graphics style has always made the battles so slow and boring. For the next game (whether it's on 3DS or any other system) they should simply do a complete main franchise game (i.e.: no spin-off) in the style of XD or Colloseum. I sure hope that something like this is the "evolution" he is talking about.

i kinda hope it either a new generation or a remake of red/blue/geen/yellow/ruby/shapire/emerald/crystal and have it as a 3ds game instead of ds
Oh god, I do not want a ruby/sapphire/emerald remake. People need to take of their nostalgia goggles. I want a new pokemon game, no new pokemon, new region and great story. and keep legendary's to a minimum I mean, they're meant to be legends not so easy to find.
It's hard to ask from a pokemon game but hey, we can hope.

Gamefreak will find someway to delay their going to 3D. Honestly it would be fine to me if they would keep the out of battle in sprites but I think the battles should be 3D. Like Fire Emblem: Awakening is doing.

Nintendo's latest handheld is called the 3DS, they're sort-of obliged to include some form of 3D this time by proxy. Pokemon games of the past were always crafted to show the strong points of the platform they were on, here's hoping that that hasn't changed.

Of course they could just make the game stereoscopic and call it a day there, but hey. :creep:

I still wish for a day when Pokemon can have a spinoff/new stadium game, where you control the Pokemon and execute attacks with button combos.
Almost like Pokemon Smashbros. Button combos to perform flamethrower and such, different combos for different moves, ability to learn new combos and forget old ones to keep the four move limit or have four physical attacks and four special attacks.
Or hell get creative and have button combos for attack moves, defense moves, special moves (like tail whip or leer) etc.

Otherwise, I'd like Pokemon to be like the new mystery dungeon games. People fear it now, but if it happens, and they play it, I'll bet they like it.

Quit teasing us Game Freak, when are you guys going to make an official Pokemon MMORPG for the Wii/WiiU console with all the regions, pokemon, badges, tourneys, casinos, contests, triathlons, safari zones, and all the battling without "friend codes".

Never, as the makers of Pokemon value interactions in real life far more than online play. Heck when mentionned in an interview, the creator merely laughed at the idea.

Well, looking at the pathetic and almost non-existent 3D on NSMB2,
I would not doubt of a Pokémon for 3DS without 3D effect

I want them to remove pokemon forgetting moves/attacks. Instead lets us choose 6-8 moves to be set for battle, out of the moves they have learned.

Umm yeah but we can remove pokemon moves and get 6-8 moves.
That would be better :P

But if they are gonna put it up ti the next level, gimme 3d graphics and buttons to do my attacks.

But it is stupid with todays tech to keep the limit of moves. I say let pokemon keep all there learned moves. let us choose before getting into a battle what 6 or 8 moves we want set to fight with. I understand that may reduce the need for multiple pokemon. Even make some useless. But they could even it out by limiting a pokemon's move list. There are so many moves/attacks now that each pokemon could have an unique list of moves. each pokemon gets a move list around 35-45 moves, including lvl moves, breeding and TMs/HMs. Mew would be the only exception.

The pokemon games will never be fixed for competition because of the issue of type relationships. The next game will probably feature mostly 2D with a few gimmick parts in 3D like their olympics/pokewood stuff. I would just expect a dump of another 100 new pokemon (which I personally still get excited over every time) and otherwise business as usual.

I'd appreciate them downplaying the evil team trope. It's beyond frustrating at this point and nobody really enjoys the 400 grunts with the same 3 pokemon. Diversity in Black White 2 wilds was idyllic but I would like the game to begin as solely new pokemon like BlackWhite1. Post game can be laissez faire.

Pretty modest bullet point wishlist:
  • Less legendaries
  • As much new as blackwhite (which was great)
  • New abilities and moves always welcome
  • Dark gym (it's never happened before)
  • types that have never been made (like ice/poison icicle mosquito)
  • less or no evil generic team involvement (villains welcome naturally but less formulaic grunt army shenanigans)
  • No more gaddam fire/fighting starters...

I would love it if it was a Ruby/Sapphire remake.
Or a new story taking place in Kanto/Jhoto.
