i installe homebrew chanel using lego indiana jones
i used blue dump alpha 0.3 to extract ios 36, 56,57,& 58 and packed as wads
i then used IOS236 Installer MOD v6 Special vWii Edition to install ios 236 using my packed IOS36-64-v3864.wad which did not work for some reason?
i then googled IOS36-64-v3864.wad and then installed ios 236 using IOS236 Installer MOD v6 Special vWii Edition
i then used d2x-cios-installer with d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii using ios 57 as a base in ios 249 slot this is the new version that does not need you to have wads of 56,57 or 58 as it patches on the fly
i then installed a wad of USBLoader_GX_V3_0_UNLR_Channel_AHBPROT this
when i tried to start usbloader from the wii menu the wii froze and had to have plug pulled out
i then used usbloader gx v3 .do; from the homebrew chanel and it worked perfectly.
also once you have installed d2xv10 ios 249 you can then use bluedump to extract it as a wad and then just install it as a normal wad like the way you did on the wii when you had downloaded it using modmii
p.s remember to take your sd card out when booting into wii mode if you leave your sd card in you get a black screen and it freezes i shit myself at first then powered off then took sd card out and it started then as normal

I have installed the homebrew channel using lego indy.

Do I need to use the bluedump to extract the ioses before installing cioses?

I would use the AHBPROT patched FSToolbox to dump the whole nand to SD catd then extract the ios to a wad via ShowMiiWads. i have had problems with Bluedump. i have had it corrupt VC titles if it crashes while dumping. it crashes when dumping any vc titles that were moved to sd and back at any point. i do not trust it to dump critical IOS's incase it were to crash (dsi error) when dumping them.

If it crashed during the dump the only possible problem would be a corrupt wad. You could just delete the wad. It won't actually modify the NAND.

wierd, i have had it corrupt the vc game itself it was trying to dump. i dumped the mario party 2 VC game i got via nintendoclub rewards. it DSI,ed on me. i rebooted and the game appeared fine showing up on the system menu. once i moved it to SD tho, it turned into a "?" . i had to delete it then reinstall the game from the shop channel for it to work again. i was able to move the redownloaded one to SD fine.

The reason it crashed during the dump was probably because the channel was already corrupt.

I know for a fact it was not corrupt as I tried it again but I redownloaded Mario Party 2 from the shop. I had it install to internal, not SD card. I ran it to make sure it was not corrupt. then I moved it to the SD Card. It moved fine and was not a "?" and launched fine from SD card. I deleted it from the SD card then redownloaded it again to internal and did not move it at all, then i tried to dump it via Bluedump. it got 9/10 done then DSI's right at end. afterward, i moved Mario Party 2 to SD then it showed up as a "?".

I had to delete it again then redownload from the shop. since i was done messing with getting bluedump working, i had the shop install directly to the SD card. it worked then.

What i noticed is that bluedump will crash if it tries to dump a VC title that has ever been moved to the SD Card at any point of having it on the Wii. even if its redownloaded.

I dumped a IOS and my Smash Bros. VC game, that was installed but has never been moved or copied to the SD card.

It seems bluedump has problems dumping stuff that has been on the SD card at any time as doing that leaves traces in the NAND.
even uninstalled games and games that are on the SD card show up in the list also. its obviously impossible for it to dump those right as they are on the SD card and not the NAND.

What's the chances we can get the usb loaders to read the Wii U usb format. Sometimes I for get to remove my usb stick from my Wii U and it wants to format my usb device when I turn it on. There would also need to be a PC app to install IOS's on the Wii U formatted usb device.

And what is d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii for? Do I even need it? Really confused about all this d2x stuff...
I would assume you can use the d2x v10 alt so that all the usb ports will work with your usb device, if you install the regular version then only one usb port will work.

Chances are zero: it's probably not designed to store Wii games, but even if it were possible to store anything and access it: the WiiU partition is encrypted, the Wii (vWii) homebrew would have to decrypt it itself as WiiU function and hardware are shutdown.
There's no IOS to install on USB device on Wii, why would there be one for WiiU?
