Source, this picture I took in Walmart today:

Exact same game (even the free PS Vita version with it), but the Walmart exclusive includes a 1 month PS+ trial and is $10 less.

So, those that have been iffy on it, I'd go to walmart to buy that bundle. If it turns out you don't like it a whole lot, at leats you have a month of free games on PS+ to fall back on.

The only shitty thing about these walmart exclusives, just like the Resident Evil 6 cover in the bottom left there, the Walmart ad is part of the cover. It's not a sticker or anything, it's literally printed on there, and it's stupid. Walmart can screw off with this shit.

So..... let me get this straight......

You're willing to pay $10 more, just for text to be removed from a box, that doesn't depreciate the value at all? Oh, you're also willing to spend $10 more for LESS than what the extra text on the box offers (PS+ 1 month free)?

I'm not loaded with money, I'd gladly accept the text on the box for $10 less and a free month of PS+.

Not that I hate sales news but unless it's a major one like the Steam sales, I just don't consider it "USN material". I'll move this to the Vita sections though.

You weren't in the wrong, it just feels more appropriate there, no offense.

As much as I'm pro pretty, original covers, I wouldn't go as far as to diss a game that you get $10 cheaper and with a free subscription because there's a logo printed on it. That's like saying "I won't get games from the Player's Choice range, instead I'll buy the ones with older box art". It's the same game, the cover may be slightly different but the cover is just a piece of paper. A piece of paper that cuts the price by $10 due to its "promotional aspect".

Having 10$ is considered being loaded with money? :/

And yeah I would. I don't want to look at the stores advertisement every time I pull out the box. I'd rather pay $15 for 3 months of PS+ and have a good looking case, than pay 10$ for 1 month which won't do you anything except get 1GB cloud storage and have a shitty box.

Except when it comes to "Players Choice'' you're not getting the stores name written on the front of the cover. And I'm sorry that I don't think the same as you guys. But when I bought Resident Evil 6, the first thing that the eyes go to is that damn Walmart ad saying what exclusive thing they have.

I can understand that you wouldn't want a store sticker or a logo on the packaging simply because it's an eyesore, but if you get bonus content and a price cut, I really don't see much reason to complain. When you store the games, all that's really visible is the spine of the box anyways. ;) I suppose it's a matter of preference, but do note that such editions often contain DLC on-disc, which in other cases is, well, downloadable. With those games, all you have to do is pop them in. With the normal releases, you have to go through the painful process of obtaining DLC and doing so each time you return to the game after a while and have already removed the DLC before to save space.

I agree, just the plain original cover is fine. I don't like when the manufacturer re-releases a game an it says greatest hits or something like that across the top. I'd also buy the one without the Walmart logo on it, besides, I hate walmart and wouldn't even think about going in that store to begin with.

Just saying that having $10 extra after bills, food, and emergency savings fund (hospital, funeral, etc), etc is paid off is considered a lot for me, yes. I'm already down to 60kb/s max speed internet because I've had to cut back tremendously. Oh, and of course, no Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/whatever presents at all.

Yes, having $10 extra is indeed "loaded with money" for some people.

I could use $10 right about now. My only gripe is that I wish they did the whole letting you get a digital copy of the game for other systems for free deal. If you buy it for PS3 you get a free Vita copy, but if you buy it for Vita no free PS3 copy. I'm assuming there's a price difference but it can't be great enough to not do it. Oh well, nice for people who want to buy it. I personally got about 15~ hours worth of enjoyment before I stopped playing.

Well they wouldn't price a Vita game above $50 most likely (even then $50 is rare) and at this point I think Sony is pushing more to pollute the consumer base with systems than with software. This makes PS3 users want to buy a Vita since they already get to share software between the two and once the Vita is in there, they'll probably end up buying more games for it. I dunno if this is making any sense, kinda typing this absentmindedly.

On a side note though, the Vita version is now like $20 (presumably from the crossplay promotion and not a ton of people going for a Vita-only version) so if you're a non-PS3 owner, only want the game on one system, or just want a physical copy of the game, it's a good time to nab it.

I see it now . Not sure why that happened it seems to happen from time to time to me on here.
Back on topic , If I was really into a game I think I would pay the extra $10 to not have it defaced with an Ad.

Not that I belong in the Vita section at all, but I know when my friend showed me his copy of Halo 4 (which he got at a discount from a friend who bought the console) it had a spot on there about the size of that Wal-Mart ad that said "NOT FOR RESALE" I just made this face like :O and was glad I didn't have his copy. A bonus could persuade me otherwise though, which is the case here.
