well i cant figure it out :/ i ran system checker and updated my my IOS's I updated USBLoader CFG to 70r42 ive got a backed up gamecube ISO to my USB:
games/Star Fox Adventures/Star Fox Adventures.iso

which i changed the extension from .gcm
and its not loading up next to my other wii games in USBLoader
My first suggestion is to change that to game.iso instead of "star fox adventures.iso"

Hey guys i was wondering if you had a fix to my problem. Anytime i try to start Gamecube my wii powers off. it doesn't matter if i load from retail, backup, or usb. I have one of the old wiis, i have spent hours googling for an answer, and ive tried usb loader gx, configurable usb loader, and wii flow.
Thanks

Which MIOS are you using?
First, try with official MIOS v10, BC v6 (needed for DIOS MIOS), and a retail game.
Retail games should work from System menu and USB loaders.

if you have DIOS MIOS, update to the latest version.
Any crash in DM result in a forced console shutdown.

Hey Cyan i don't want to disturb you anymore but do think that you could link to a tutorial?
All i could find was forums from over a year ago and torrents that lead to porn ;-)

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a second-hand Wii and I know there's 1 or 2 games that are not available in my region (PAL) that I want to get (i.e. Fatal Frame 4) so I've been looking at what modding options are available. I've not owned a Wii before now and so this is my first experience in looking into all of this.

I've spent a good few hours today looking at things and can see that the WODE seems to be a quite popular solution and something I know I'll be able to install myself. However, something I've picked up on is that there was a system software update (4.3) which has effectively blocked some region change settings, although these can be put back in via softmodding the console and using Priiloader, again a process that seems fairly straightforward.

There are a few questions I can't seem to find answers to though:

1. Is it possible to play out-of-region original Wii game discs in a softmodded console? (i.e. an NTSC-J game in a PAL console).
2. Does the same apply to Gamecube game discs?
3. If the answer to either of the above is no, then I assume running an ISO of the disc would then work with the correct loaders installed?
4. Is there anything a WODE can do that isn't possible with purely softmodding (i.e. running of Gamecube backups from an external HDD)?
Apologies if these questions have been asked before, but after a good few searches I couldn't find any answers relating to running original game discs as I'm planning to purchase the original games if at all possible.

Hi everyone. I have a quick question.
In Configurable USB Loader, there is a way to disable the sound when you select a game (Banner sound) and keep the background music playing? Thanks.

Hi,
I am not a expert but:
1- Yes, you can. Just make sure to force PAL if you are trying to play a NTSC game.
2- I am not sure but it should work as well. Note that some NTSC games have problems while the PAL version do not and viceversa. Check the compatibility list.
3- I don't get this one.
4- Not really, aside from that "NO homebrew software required".

Hi,

I have a noob problem here.
I use CFG to load Wii games from SD card, it works well.
But Just Dance 4 store tells me there's an error while reading SD card when I want to see DLC songs.
It works fine when the game is booted from USB flash disk.
So, SD card is invisible in a game booted from SD card?

Thank you.

I have the wbfs on my computer. What type of files does WBFS use. I want to experiment and try to download a game from the internet and put on my WBFS to play on the wii. As of now all my gmaes on my WBFS are mine. What type of gile do I try to find. I found one game to try and it wants me to download 4 .rar files. Is this what I want and if so how do I put them in my WBFS
Thanks

To manipulate a wbfs partition you need a wbfs manage like WBM.
Consider using fat32 instead its easier to manage.
And think about not pirateing games.

Hey guys. I've posted on ths forum yesterday but no one has really helped. I do need help with WiiGator GCBL as it will not work. I've tried Twilight Princess yesterday and it had a black and white screen. Today I tried a DVD with a Multi ISO on it, containing two of my favorites Wind Waker and Soul Calibur 2. When I loaded it in into the disc drive, the screen flickered and turned black and white then the wii reset. I didn't change anything on the wii before attempting this and the game ISOs were both USA. I then tried Twilight Princess and it did the same thing as the Multi ISO. Can someone please help me fix this or properly install it?? I really wanna play these games but I do not have a USB drive or an SD card with enough space and I do not have the money to buy one. Please help me.

Sometimes WiiGator GameCube backup loader mistakes multi-ISO disks as being PAL(Europe) instead of NTSC(USA) even though they only have NTSC games on them. It tries to adjust for that by setting the video signal to PAL which an NTSC TV will show as a black and white and sometimes flickering/scrolling image.
A couple way I had found to avoid this when I used to use WiiGator :
- Load GCBL with NO disk in the drive. It should leave your video mode alone since it doesn't know what region disk to adjust to. Once you see the "Backup Loader" screen you should be able to insert your multi-ISO disk, select your game and play it without it trying to change your video mode.
- You can also use a different cMIOS. There are 3 different WAD's you can download from ModMii for Windows (Download page 4). There are 2 WiiGator ones. One needs you to run the GCBL from HBC in order to run a DVD-R disk (probably similar to what you're currently using.) The other one has the GCBL built in and you can actually run the games from the disk channel in the system menu. Running it from the Disk Channel should make it just ignore your video mode as well. The disk channel will jump to the GCBL screen first when you're trying to load any GameCube game. The 3rd one on ModMii is a Waninkoko cMIOS which ALSO has it's own kind of GameCube backup loader built in and you can run it from the System Menu's disk channel. The advantages are that it's more stable (You may have noticed That WiiGator sometimes freezes right when you start it up.) and it will only show the the backup loader screen when you have a multi-ISO disk in. It will jump right to the game if you put a retail game or a normally burned backup in. The only disadvantage is if you use GameCube homebrew (the kind you have to run through WiiXplorer or Swiss Booter) only a WiiGator cMIOS can run those on a Wii.

I've already tried running the launcher without a disc in and it did no good. But I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do to get it running from the disc channel, finding tutorials for using DVD-Rs are really hard to find these days I guess. Also, I've got the download page up on ModMii but which cIOS am I supposed to download?

On download page 4, what you download is where it says (cM)IOSs, the fourth section on the right column, the three that are marked 10, 0.2, and 5
When you download them and CHOOSE ONE at a time to install with a WAD manager and test out with the disk channel until you find one that works. (They all install in the same place so installing one will replace any others you may have had installed.).

I've noticed something when trying to patch mIOS's where it says something about IOS 257. Does tis require IOS 257? Because I don't have it. Like do I install IOS 257 then install these WADs with it?
