Lastly, in the file it came with three .dol's. So these are versions of GX? or are they DML? Do I need to use all of them?
Just different versions depending on which cIOS you want them to use to run if it's the first time you use it. The 249 one should work fine for you. Just replace the existing one you're already using.

Cool. Thanks a ton. I have a way of making things more complicated than they really are, thanks for your patience and advice!

Like for the Wad Manager, the USB loader also need a cIOS to load/get access hardware.
In the wad manager, you tell it manually on each boot.
In the USBloader it's pre-compiled so you don't have to specify one each time you boot the loader, so there are 3 versions available, each of them using a different "starting cIOS".

Note that it's only the "starting cIOS". it's not the cIOS which will be used by the games (this one is specified in the loader's settings, and the loader is reloading that cIOS automatically after the "starting sequence").

Like he said, different IOS have different features.
For example, USBLoaderGX can use both USB portsat the same time (dual HDD option), but this only work on specific cIOS (the 222). So we let the user decide which boot.dol/cIOS combination to use.

Most users don't need this feature, and the IOS249 is good for almost everything.

v1.1 is actually like the first release of WiiFlow so it's rather old. I don't think it even has the same revision number system used by current versions of it.

I'd say just run ModMii for Windows on your computer and just tell it you haven't hacked your Wii before and it'll download everything you need and give you a step by step guide for you to get everything back on the Wii and up to date as far as the IOS and Homebrew Channel, BootMii, etc (system stuff)
Information on setting up the latest WiiFlow and how to set it up and stuff can be found here :
https://sites.google.com/site/wiiflowiki4/
That site has the latest forwarders (including Carbonik) and among other things it will direct you to here
http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/downloads/list
to download the latest version.

AFter installing cMIOS for Gamecube backups, are the games supposed to be played from regular disc channel or something like NeoGamma.

Im wondering because my Wii backups work from normal disc and Neogamma while gamecube back ups only play through Neogamm,a but can't save games,

DIOS MIOS (Lite) allows both, you can launch game from the System menu or from a loader.
When launched from the system menu it could have wrong settings and wrong colors, as no setting at all are passed from a loader to DIOS MIOS (Lite), like video mode, pad hook (to reset/switch off with button combination) memory card emulation, Ocarina, screenshot features, etc.
But it usually play fine as long as it's games from your region.

When launched from a loader with the disc (and not the iso), video mode require very specific settings per games or you can end with wrong colors.

Be sure to use a new version (old one had problem for launching games from disc)

Thanks but what about my Memory card issue. When I play a regular gamecube disc in the Wii or from just Gamecube, it can read the memory card in slot A just fine. However every time i play any ack ups with NeoGamma(regular disc channel doesnt work) it will say card is corrupted or cant read /error.

You can't be sure that the settings from WiiFlow 1.1 will work with the newest version of WiiFlow so it would be best that if you have a /wiiflow folder on either SD or USB to delete it first.

Then copy the apps folder from the file you download here
http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/downloads/detail?name=WiiFlow v4.0.3.zip&can=2&q=
onto your SD card or your USB device.
It will replace some stuff and that should update your WiiFlow

In data management in your system menu, delete your existing carbonik forwarder

get the new carbonik forwarder from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?1i51lre33fhjb

If it's not already there, make a folder on your SD card called WAD
and put the forwarder file you downloaded in it

Get a WAD Manager app
You can get one from ModMii for Windows on download page 2. It has
-Yet Another WAD Manager Mod
-Multi-Mod Manager
-and WiiMod
Any of them will work. ModMii for Windows will tell you where to put them on your SD card.

From the HomeBrew Channel, open the WAD Manager you've chosen, go into it, select the forwarder file you'd downloaded and install it.

And then you should be basically done.
If you have any further questions, problems, or concerns, feel free to ask.

You've gotta be sneakier, man.
where on my usb do i put gamecube.gmc downloaded roms backup IOS's? ty
You just need to rename them, whatever they are, to game.iso and put them in a folder inside your games folder on USB.

For example:
If you had a file named "mario.gcm" you would rename it to "game.iso" and put it in a folder called "mario" and put that folder in the /games folder resulting in something like this :
/games/mario/game.iso

ok, but where do i load it from? USB loader? it doesnt seem to be there?
The latest version of WiiFlow, USBLoader GX, CFG USBLoader, and PostLoader can all load them but for all but WiiFlow, those are the latest BETA version. The latest official release was still before USB for GC was even possible.

Most of them you'll have to change the settings to tell it to look on USB instead of the SD card, though.

Oh, and there's also DM(L) Booter if you want something simple.
