an e-shop link isnt a hack in anyway lol
this is no more a hack than sending someone a link to an amazon phone app
The definition of hacking/to hack
that i was told is to use something for a purpose for which it wasn't originally intended

and using qr codes to make a non ambassador 3DS download these games is something these systems weren't designed for thus hacking

what else is it?
This won't work full stop. You are not going to be able to download 3DS Ambassador eShop titles by spaming QR Codes. QR Codes bring you to a information page, and in place of where the Download button would be, lies the greyed text "Software currently unavaliable"

This has been said before on this thread.

This thread reminds me of when mobile phone top up vouchers first came out and people would try just changing one number or guessing to try and get free credit.

let me just remind everyone that the objective is to try to access to the ambassadors games not to get free games
It's a dangerous door you're trying to open. Hacking the eShop using prefabricated QR codes to get Ambassador games is no different than hacking an online shop using prefabricated credit card data to get stuff for free.

That's pretty much breaking and entering with intent of theft. Or at least, something close to theft (since we all know taking a copy of something digital does not constitute theft). Or fraud. Something bad. LOL.

Aaaaaanyways, I'm actually curious as to how things will go.

EDIT: To the people arguing that Ambassadors paid no price to be Ambassadors, well, here's a scenario for you:
I set up a booth. It says "Free Soup!". People line up, smiling. "Wow, free soup! Thanks!"
I give that one free soup.
"Oh, wow, thank you I'm starving!" Smiles at me. Free soup.
Somebody comes, grunting, "Hey biatch, gimme 3 bowls of that thing, will ya!". Stares intimidatingly.

NO FREE SOUP. You see, I decided I'll only give free soup to the people who smile at me. That's my price. "What?! You did not say that on the sign!" Who cares, it's my free soup, I decide who gets it and who doesn't. I might have fucked up a few here and there, but they didn't smile at me, so no free soup.

Not all prices are monetary. The price we paid to be an Ambassador? "Own a Nintendo 3DS and get it online before a cut-off date." Heck, they even removed the "get it online" part and including every 3DS that was sold before the cut-off date. If you're not an Ambassador, it's because you could not/did not/would not pay the price.

SO STOP THE BUTTHURT. It's annoying.

And now, I step down the high horse before the flame start pouring in.

And because we know that you can't get them, for the same reason you can't get any other restricted/not free game, this thread can get locked.
all people that where interested suddenly lost interest when "not to get free games" was said

It's also quite hypocritical considering Ambassadors Games were free initially.(One which are publicly available now have a price)

Okay, I'm confused. What exactly does getting the QR codes for a 3DS eShop game accomplish? Can we download them on pc and load them through a flashcart? Can we get free downloads bypassing the payment screen?

Nop qr codes are like a link for a website (in this case the eshop game) so no free games

Don't take this as a smartass response. I read pretty much the whole thread last night. I understand you're basically poking around to find the qr codes of the ambassador games.
Just wondering why? Just out of curiosity or something more?

To get ambassador games on non-ambassador units. Or pretty much every one with a 3DS.

No saying if they're gonna stop there though. Probably not.

They already know it won't lead to some magic ambassador piracy. Or so I thought. So what's the point of accessing a page linked to a qr code that will tell you that you cent get the game?
I thought they realized it couldn't work but are still continuing to try and find the page anyway. Or do they think it'll still be profitable?

I'm almost positive I found them months ago, check back a couple pages. I don't know why there is still effort with this, it's be debonked on the grounds that they are inaccessible to anyone through qr codes!

Yes I know that Ambassadors indirectly paid for their '20 games'. But they were provided by Nintendo for free to the Ambassadors via the eShop. There was no forced commitment on Nintendo's part to give those 20 games to the Ambassadors.

Regardless, Nintendo set a condition, a specific condition, which Ambassadors fulfilled. Any commitment on Nintendo's part is irrelevant-- they made an Ambassador program, stated how you can get in, and that's that. When it was announced, everybody KNEW the conditions to get in. Those that DID NOT join chose so. And now they decry the Ambassadors, criticizing their feelings of "entitlement".

Well boo-hoo, I say to them.
