Does PSP have Ogre's series too?
Ogre battle or Tactic Ogre?
PS1 had Tactic Ogre so it should be available on PSN.

Tactic Ogre (originally released on Snes) is from the same team who made FF tactics WotL.
Tactic Ogre have even more freedom (for example, you can attack on out of reach areas, try to throw a rock very far even if the game tell you that you have 0% to reach that spot. Sometime ... you are lucky and it works ;) )

Ogre battle mix both real time strategy with ATB RPG battles.

I didn't play them a lot, but they looks like they have a great RPG story too.

The GBA game IIRC is a sidestory which IIRC takes place midway through Tactics Ogre Let us Cling Together, the PSP game is a remake of the PS1 version and has a different story and additional features such as The World which allows you to revisit plot points and try out different choices and stuff.
So yeah :V

Riiight. I had to read that a couple times, then out loud, then I got it after I took a nap on it lol So technically I should play this then the GBA version correcto mundo?

Okay I'll have a look on Friday but still I'll finish Star Ocean 2 first then I'll jump into Growlanser first since that came out recently.

Is that the same as the FF Tactics on the DS and GBA?

The GBA and DS games are vastly different in tone. I really loved FFT A2 -- put tons of hours into it -- but War of the Lions (PSP) is a much more grim and serious tale, with dialogue that has been expertly translated. I wouldn't even bother with the original PSX version if you can access the PSP re-release. If you're looking for a more lighthearted romp, then either of the aforementioned games are great. If you're looking for a story with lots of depth and polish, War of the Lions will knock your socks off. Just be sure to use the patch that fixes the slowdown -- it makes the game so, so much better.

Would you have instructions how to apply the patch? Is it the wotl_patch file?
I'm still quite new in this PSP area.

Tales of the abyss...I was genuinely surprised at how deep most of the villians were and how their actions were ALMOST justified, and I guess you just need to play the game to get why.

Ugh, this is a PSP thread well either way Tales of the abyss is a great game

So Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together PSP is basically the same as the GBA version. What's the difference?

i bought a psp from a garage sale for 10 bucks. the only games i have enjoyed playing on it is Disgaea and Disgaea 2. The best games by far that I have played in the last 2 years in terms of storyline enjoyability and very high up on the list for gameplay. Play them and hope your stomach doesn't hurt so much from laughing to play well

Haha Yeah I know Disgaea is notorious for that kind of humour. I still remember the DS one. I wonder how the Disgaea games on PSP is played in sequence?

I haven't read through all 4 pages (the end of the first page suggested to me there was going to be a LOT of SMT and Persona talk so I've just skipped here) but you NEED to play Mana Khemia if you're looking for a good story. The PSP version's pretty good but I'd recommend the PS2 version if you have a PS2. Mana Khemia 2's story is significantly weaker though, so I wouldn't recommend it story-wise.

Also, two notes if you do decide to pick up Mana Khemia. First, if you're playing the PSP version, install the Jump Start data as that will enable voices to be played during battles. Second, the final segment of the bonus dungeon freezes if you get into any random encounters, so you're going to have to avoid them at all costs. Good luck working through your rather epic list; I think you may need it if you plan on finishing everything.

Haha yeah well they were trying to explain how to appreciate how to get into SMT Persona titles which I greatly appreciated.
Wow A new title that I've never heard of! Mana Khemia 1 & 2? Okay I shall look into it right away! So there's no fix for those freezes? Wait when you say bonus dungeons, does that mean that's after the main game is finish and that's the extra part?

Haha I remember someone telling me "See you in a couple years" after reading what I had line up. Especially when they are RPGs.

Also, FFVII Crisis Core, it may look kinda okay with the graphics, I'm not a big fan of it and I don't believe that should be considered a decent storyline. I've played it before on a friend's PSP and I never finished it. It got boring halfway. I can't remember who said it here on GBAtemp but I do agree that it's a terrible game.

Crisis core Final Fantasy Vii . Nuff said

You didn't say "Avoid Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII if you want an RPG with a decent storyline and good gameplay", therefore enough wasn't said.

As for the WotL live patch...all the instructions are in the package...it works like a plugin
