I have installed the Dios Mios 2.2 wad onto my wii 4.2u
Dios Mios lite worked before but after installing ive moved my games to my fat32 hardrive
My Wii games work perfect off of my fat32 harddrive
But whenever i boot a gamecube game on, configurable usb loader v70 r36

At the boot screen, fatal error: apploader size is zero!

Ive reinstalled the wad but no use

People online say theirs an error with 2.2 and to use 2.1
Well 2.1 does not exist and cannot be found......404
Can someone upload a copy and provide a link ill let people know if it works
But i do want to keep my Dios Mios updated

Does anyone know the solution to my problem ?

I'm having the same problem as you, and I'm at a loss. Apparently you need to have the actual game disc in the DVD drive for it to work.

I am receiving same issues with dios mios 2.2 with latest configurable usb loader i set my settings to load dm and it displays all my iso that are on my hdd but when i boot them the wii turns off or just goes to black screen. in usb loader gx i get to the dios mios screen after booting games and it says apploader blah blah zero. i have tried it with and with out a gamecube game in the wii. the best i can do for now is revert to dios mios 2.0 and use dios mios loader in hbc. thats the only way i can play my hdd gamecube games, then when i want to play retail i have to uninstall dios mios wad and load mios v10 wad from nus downloader. its freakn annoying i just want to be able to boot gamecube games from hdd thru a loader configurable or gx so i can partion my hdd so i have all my games wii and gamecubes. and whats with the +neek version i seen that to. im a noob to dios mios and its doing my head in. please someone tell me were im going wrong.

The creators requested that all versions of DIOS MIOS be removed everywhere, except for 2.2 of course. No one will be able to re-upload 2.0 for the risk of getting in trouble.

I get this bug with cfg as well. Try using Wiiflow mod. It seems to work great with 2.2, at least for me..

Postloader is another good option for Dios Mios/Devolution, but it's not as flashy as Wiiflow.

Latest usbloadergx works fine too. There have been loader changes required recently, so if you update dios mios without updating your loader then it won't work.
usbloadergx & wiiflow are generally updated straight away. I prefer the look of usbloadergx & find it faster than wiiflow.

i had the same issue. it has to do with the way the loader loads the games and changes in DM 2.2, it seems the no disc option has been changed to be the widescreen option so older revs of loaders will be setting the widescreen option, but DM thinks its the no disc option and there ya go, app loader zero error. update the loader (wiiflow 615+, usb loader gx 1200+, not sure about cfg haven't tried yet) and dm 2.2 and you are good to go.

ok problem solved now successfully using dios mios 2.2 with usb loader gx 3.0
my solution install usbloader gx 3.0 ios249.wad file
uninstalled usbloader gx channel.wad
installed usbloader gx forwarder instead.
downloaded r1200_222 249 250 pack.
copied the 249 boot file in that pack over the one in sd card apps usbloader gx folder
in usbloader gx turned no boot disk to no and dol location to the sd card apps usbloader gx folder. and of course the gamecube load location to usb instead of sd card. so my last few days off doing my head in have finally payed off.

it sounds like he used a wad file with embedded usb loader gx dol. its not a wise choice, but if you must it should be on the googlecode page for usb loader gx. its better to forward to the app so updating is done easier.

check the beta thread under "issues" on the google code, most of the time the latest beta is ok to use, or use the latest stable release.

I don't know if im the only one. I used to get this error all the time... I can play all my GC games without a disc in my wii. Just try every setting in the NMM. If i get the error i just set the NMM to something different and 1 of the 4 NMM settings works for me. When i updated to DM 2.2, i got alot more errors and couldn't even run my games... Went back to 2.0 and all my games work perfect.

Okay, basically for every one that's having this problem with version 2.2 (and higher once that's applicable) There's a setting you have to set to tell it you're using that version of DM(L) otherwise it will just try to boot the disk in the drive and will give you the " fatal error: apploader size is zero!" if the drive is empty or the drive doesn't have a GC game disk in it. (if it DOES have one in it, it will just boot the retail disk)

This is true for CFG, WiiFlow, GX, and DM(L) Booter.
(just that some of those will just assume you have v2.2 or higher unless you tell it so the option STARTS as being ON)

If you are having this problem, go into the options and change it to "2.2+" (for wiiflow, you have to go into your /apps/wiiflow/wiiflow.ini file and change it. It's under the [GENERAL] section if I remember right.) The option might be something like "gamecube boot method or something" but I don't remember the wording in all the loaders. I DO know it's there, though.

Note : NeoGamma and PostLoader also have some sort of DML support but I'm not sure if they are compatible with v2.2.

EDIT : Correction : for WiiFlow it's under the [DML] section of the wiiflow.ini file. The setting is dm_r2.1+=
Both the dml_r52+= and the dm_r2.1+= settings have to be set to yes for it to work with DM(L) 2.2 and above.
Like this
dml_r52+=yes
dm_r2.1+=yes
