Ya, it wasnt me that created it, i'll create another one in a bit.

I'd be pissed if that were true. We payed a hefty sum for those, it'd be a shame if others could get them for free via an exploit. I guess this is what it feels like to be a legal consumer.

You didn't pay sh*t for them! You were happy to buy a 3DS at the launch price and there was no hint of the 'Ambassador' games at the time. That's the price you pay for being an early adopter. Things go down in price all the time. I haven't been given a set of free cable tidies (or whatever) from Phillips just because the price of my TV came down by £50 a few weeks after I bought it.

You were lucky to get the free games in the first place. Nintendo didn't have to do that. I kind of wish they hadn't because in doing so, the sense of entitlement that early adopters generally have has sky-rocketed well past their usual levels.

That being said, I agree that as they were a gift from Nintendo to you select few, it wouldn't be great if other people were able to get hold of them by other means. They should remain exclusive. But you didn't pay for them!
They weren't free, we paid $80 for them, even if it was indirect.

They were free. You didn't pay sh1t for them. I'm not going to repeat everything I have said above (other than by means of quoting).

HEY HEY, guys stop fighting, lets not make a thread discussing if nintendo as locked or not the ambassador games. Let's just try to find them.

So we need atleast one 3ds per region, so mine is from europe (ii think australia is the same as europe??), and we still need one from the USA and Japan (is there any other regions?)

EDIT: It actually is 2 per region because we need a ambassador and a 3DS without ambassador (so we can find the games, and then test them :P)

EDIT 2: Ok the google doc is still online the like was wrong in the first page (oh stupid me)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlBFc21631-ddE9DbVNhbU40aWNGX21hZThaOFNJamc&pli=1#gid=0 but the doc its still private !!

I don't get what you are trying to do...

The QR codes just direct you to the page in the eshop it's not a download link...
And some of the ambassador games are up for sale already..
SOME, not all, but maybe nintendo was lazy enough to leave the games for free, and just giving the link to the ambassadors, it's just to see if non ambassadors can have access to that page and if they can download them, its just a test.

That won't work. Nintendo made them for free, by adding those games to those 3ds consoles download rights. Trying to access the eshop page, via a QR code, or via streetpass mii plaza - most recent software function, will bring you to a page which says, "Software currently unavaliable", where the download button should be.

He confirmed that they cannot be accessed via QR codes. From here I really don't know what can come out of this :\

You can just generate the qr codes on qrcode.kaywa.com, like Fudge said. I don't know if it works yet though. If you get the ESHOP:// address from the 3dbrew page or anywhere else, you can generate it on the website. Right now, I am away from an access point, so I can't try it till tomorrow. :\ But I scanned it on the qr code scanner in the HOME Menu's camera mode. It said that it is a qr from the eShop. So, that probably is a hint that it works. I just have the Kid Icarus qr code sitting on my desktop ready for use! ;)

this is just a page for moochers
or people who are simply trying different methods to hack the 3DS and hoping to find any possible exploits

an e-shop link isnt a hack in anyway lol
this is no more a hack than sending someone a link to an amazon phone app

The definition of hacking/to hack
that i was told is to use something for a purpose for which it wasn't originally intended

and using qr codes to make a non ambassador 3DS download these games is something these systems weren't designed for thus hacking

what else is it?
