Wait, how come there are no 3do/ atari jaguar emulators? especially 3do since it runs an older arm cpu meaning it would need some kind of ds eboot. And jaguar would run the same as snes emu for ds. In fact, where is the ngage emu?

Does anyone know of a more solid SNES emulator than SNEmulDS?

Everytime I open a game it takes a lot of fussing with background layers and sprites just to get it playable.
Games I want to play the most: Actraiser 1&2, Super Castlevania 4.

i just wanted to say thank you for keeping the first post updated. at this point in ds homebrew history we are going to see far less projects released and i fear, even fewer projects updated to "final" builds. many of the great emus for the ds have been abandoned (neods, scummvm, snemulds, lameboy, etc), which means less news and less publicity for these projects. anyone who gets into this hobby now will have a difficult time researching all of the possibilities and will know far less about these projects than those of us who experienced them as they were released. for these reasons, threads like this one are extremely important.

again, thank you for keeping it updated.

unless i overlooked them, i do not see the following projects in your listing:
DSDoom
DSHeretic
DualHexen
HexenDS
Quake1 DS
Quake2 DS
Another World DS
REminiscenceDS
Flashback DS
cquake
Knytt Stories DS
Open Tyrian DS
Rise of the Triad DS
Wolf 3D DS

i would like to move this information to the gbatemp wiki, and thus allow the entire community to keep it updated. does anyone care to help with such a project? i'll admit, i suck at wiki-speak and wiki-organization, but i'm eager to add information and keep it updated.

In computing, an emulator is hardware or software or both that duplicates (or emulates) the functions of a first computer system in a different second computer system, so that the behavior of the second system closely resembles the behavior of the first system.

i would argue that interpreters and ported source code are most definitely "emulating" an aspect of 1 computer system on another. you can't run any of those games on the DS natively. by your opinion, isn't dsx86 just a DOS interpreter? Or are you classifying what an "emulator" is based on its ability to run more than 1 game/application?

i'm not trying to argue with you or challenge your opinion, i just feel that for the good of the community as a whole that the list should include every application that allows us to experience gaming from a completely different system on the DS.

Sorry I don't intend to integrate DS ports or interpreters. For me an emulator just emulate a hardware to run a specific software (on NDS). I made an exception for the 'Game & Watch' because the hardware and the software are an all in one.

These games are already on homebrews lists that already allows us to experience gaming. I've also thought about making a complete list of games and app but I have not enough time.

Question:
Why would I want to emulate a calculator?
So that you don't have to pay a high price for the calculator itself.
But it's a calculator. If you can download it, you have a calculator on your computer.
You know, having one of those calculators on the PC would be emulation as well.
And my computer isn't exactly portable.
Is there something special about these calculators?

Oh..
Hold on, what's this?
I/O port for communication with other TI products.
Why does a calculator need to communicate with other calculators? :O

there are homebrew and games for various Texas Instruments calculators, that is why they are emulated.

more info:

Wolf 3D for TI-83
PacMan for TI-83/84

in regards to the calcs, i have no idea, but there are various homebrew projects that offer 2-player games. there is a co-op kart racing game and i remember a 1st person alien breed hunter game.

can you two kindly stop quoting such large blocks of text?
