Remember when we introduced the exclusive Tempiibo yesterday? Did it sound a little too good to be true? If it did, you were right in trusting your intuitions, because Tempiibo is not a real thing... yet.
The GBAtemp Accessory Printing Bounty - Runs to July 1st, 2015 0:00 GMT
Remember when the Homebrew Bounty was a thing? Remember the wild popularity and the cool applications our very own community members designed and developed? Now it is your turn to create something great! We are proud and extremely excited to announce the GBAtemp Accessory Printing Bounty!
In this bounty, we on the GBAtemp.net Staff are offering you guys $150 to write a tutorial on successfully printing a custom Amiibo or other game accessory! This tutorial will be graded according to the following three criterion by our Staff:
Disassembly of accessories
Scanning of pieces - can be at home or whatever will work for you!
Printing of high-quality parts
There are already communities that design custom Amiibo figurines, and examples of things to note are below in the following images:
Based on the images, this endeavor will require some skill to be able to do successfully, and it's your goal to be able to write a tutorial that could be replicated by people. Follow the three criterion above, and do it well, and that $150 bounty could very much end up in your wallet!
Your deadline for this tutorial bounty is July 1st, 0:00 GMT. Get those pens scratching, and start planning!
For further inquiries related to this bounty, please contact any Staff member via private message - we will be happy to answer any questions! Good luck - we're really looking forward to seeing how things turn out!
Amiibo is a subject that is close to some people's hearts. They find joy in being able to collect these little figurines, even as they go up to exorbitant price levels. So, why not participate and have a small recollection of a piece of GBAtemp history, by earning a new collector's item that is still extremely worthy of that three inches of your shelf space, and earn your chance to get an exclusive GBAtemp Amiibo, which we have christened as Tempiibo! Clever, right?!
Attached below, we have a specs sheet from our friends at the printing factory! Unfortunately, our folks at the designing factory are having a small issue with a design cue at present, so we can only present a mockup image at this time! They told us though that the problem should be ironed out, very soon!
With all the mumbo jumbo out of the way, what does that mean, and more importantly, when are you guys going to be allowed to order one? Unfortunately, the answer to that question is to be determined - we're quite hard at work negotiating with distributors and a retail chain or two to see if we can sell the product in stores; we're going to make this available to a decently sized audience if possible, but at the same time not let it become a bit of a fiasco like some of the other Amiibo that are flying off of shelves. The bottom line is we still want this to be an enjoyable community thing, too! We'll provide more information as time comes, but the announcement is too good to keep back anymore! At this point, we would like to ask you guys to stay tuned, and get hyped, because a new collectable is on its way, and being GBAtemp.net members you guys will have early access to this!

Forgive the formatting as I am on mobile at the moment, but in a complete breaking news story, Nintendo has confirmed that Zelda Wii U, arguably one of the most anticipated Nintendo titles of this year, has now been delayed to 2016.
