Video gaming communities can be one of the worst communities by far. There are communities that pride themselves on complaining and moaning at the developers (actually, that’s a majority of all communities), and some that pride themselves on a hypothetical superiority that the hardware they own is the only hardware that should be owned. I’m the strange guy who doesn’t care about the who, what, or when; I like to know why things happen. I like to see (or attempt to, anyway) why these things continue to happen after so many generations.

PS4 Furthers Global Momentum as Gamers Embrace Its Breakthrough Gameplay and Innovative Sharing Capabilities

Tokyo, April 17, 2014 - Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that the PlayStation 4 / PS4 computer entertainment system has cumulatively sold through more than 7.0 million units globally as of April 6, 2014, demonstrating the rapid growth of the PS4 platform.

PS4 software sales also remain strong with more than 20.5 million copies sold in retail stores worldwide and through digital downloads on PlayStation Store as of April 13, 2014. PS4 owners will be immersed in a broad portfolio of breakthrough games, across all genres, with approximately 120 titles available or coming in 2014. The PS4 system's games portfolio will continue to expand with highly anticipated titles such as Destiny (Activision), The Elder Scrolls Online (Bethesda), Alien: Isolation (SEGA), NBA 2K15 (2K), Watch_Dogs(TM) (Ubisoft Entertainment), #DRIVECLUB (SCE WWS), MLB 14: The Show (SCE WWS) and The Order 1886 (SCE WWS). The independent development community continues to deliver innovative new titles for PS4. You might not recognize the name or care for Halo at (can't blame you there), but you've probably heard the series' theme at one point or another. While 343 Studios plays Weekend At Bernie's with the Halo franchise, O'Donnell stuck with Bungie for their upcoming title Destiny.

That was the plan, at least.

Ah, the time of cheap mobile games is yet again upon us. This time the selection of six games (and more to come) includes fantastic games including "the pay anything you like" games like R-Type II and beat the average games such as Carcassonne. Currently the beat the average price is just a bit shy of $5, which is a steal for the games.

Google Glass, Google's answer to wearable technology, is going to go on sale to the public for a single day on April 15th, 2014 in the US only as a part of their "explorer program". For a mere $1,500 you too could become what the internet affectionately calls a "Glasshole"!

Dust off those PS4 controllers because Transistor (A sci-fi themed action RPG by the creators of Bastion, Supergiant Games.) was finally given a release date. One of the titles I've been looking forward to since I first got my PS4. The game will be release May 20th, 2014 at the retail price of $19.99 on Steam and the PSN store.
