NIS America just made my holiday season, I think.

Basically, their end-of-November sale includes, for $30 and shipping, a package of Disgaea 2 for the PSP, a blue Prinny PSP sleeve, a Laharl-Prinny plushie, a second plush Prinny stress-reliever, a Disgaea 3 main theme CD, some sort of boxed collectible figure, and a Prinny eco-friendly bag. All that for the price of the price game alone, plus similar deals for Disgaea DS and Phantom Brave Wii in case I feel like buying something decent for my brothers this year. For the price, it's a lot betteer than most of the Black Friday sales I've seen going on, too.

And now I'm glad I ditched my 30GB Zune

And now I'm glad I ditched my 30GB Zune
I feel sorry for the rest of the suckers.
Last year Amazon had their blowout on the 30GB Zunes, at about $90 a pop for new Brown Zunes. My brother and I each got one; he loved his, I was a bit disappointing. I expected it to be responsive and usable, but then I remembered that it was a Microsoft product. So over the summer I sold mine to my brother's friend for $135. Not only did I turn a nice profit, he also ended up paying me $150(he ain't one'a dem real bright folks). Win-win for everyone, except my brother who keeps saying it was stupid of me to sell the Zune.

Well, now it's the end of 2008, a little more than a year after I bought mine. I have a GB Micro, Brawl, and a small flash-memory MP3 now, and like every other 30GB Zune owner, my brother has a brick, courtesy of faulty Microsoft firmware. Happy Y2K9 bug, everyone!

Who's laughing now?

Our school is awesome.

Our school is awesome.

So, over the last couple weeks, we've been having unusually warm weather for April, but my school's dress code doesn't let us wear shorts outside of the gym until May. Well, yesterday, after some unsuccessful talks with the principal, some guys got mad because the school allowed girls to wear skirts and such and started plotting. The principal called the girls to the auditorium later to discuss proper dress code, but didn't regulate things more than the rules already in place. This, along with the fact that a kid wearing shorts halfway to their ankles got suspended while girls wearing skirts halfway to their knees didn't get talked to, served to draw the tension further.

Today, about five guys came to school wearing skirts. Seriously. Even though the dress code didn't forbid it, the principal had them all in the office and suspended before 15 minutes of first period were up. All five went straight to the superintendent's office, who told them they were not suspended, and they could go home, change, and come back. He also stated that if any of them wanted to take legal action he'd back them all the way. They could, too, for simple sexism, and they'd probably win.

Later in the day, one student, who was apparently off campus for a school program, called one of the local news teams. At about one, they came to the school and interviewed the students who came wearing skirts. I personally didn't know they actually showed up, but I've heard that at least part of it will be on the 7 o'clock news. I don't get local stations, but I asked someone to record it for me.

The principal was so pissed for the rest of the day that she suspended about five more students; one girl because she got up and walked out of class without permission, and another because she punched someone who was choking her. Incidentally, the girl doing the choking just got back from a 2 1/2 year school/correctional facility stint for strangling a kid at her last school; the guy had to go into the Intensive Care Unit.

I kinda wish I could watch the news, it's starting in now, and my only complaint is that all this didn't go down Monday, when the governor was here.

My life on the interwebz
An attempt to thwart my boredom
Here I am, 2:05 in the morning, not tired and incredibly bored. Searching for something to do, I browse DX, put up an avatar, and notice my blog button. My blog... so cold... so empty. I know I must fill it with something immature and vaguely humorous... but what? Frantically, I start to search my hard drive for old files. I come across old essays, written by members of another, now-defunct board. I remember backing them up in November, before the forum was taken down. But there's one missing, my personal favorite. I check Google, trying my hardest to find it, but every site it was ever posted on either evades Google's listing or has deleted it. However, I remember one place it might still be. After an additional 20 minutes of searching, I finally find it, the one wall of text I had tried so hard to hunt down. So without further ado, an end to this overly long intro(and almost to this blog post itself), The FEG Essay:

This is an essay about a user. Not just any user, however. This essay is about a user by the name of Fireemblemguy. Oops, I'm sorry. It should be FireEmblemGuy. My apologies. It is in the general opinion that this user, by the name of FireEmblemGuy, or FEG, is an idiot. Not just any idiot. And idiot with a capital i. Oops, I should have capitalized. She would be an Idiot. He does many unspeakable thinks to warrant this opinion. Many things. For one he exited. I mean existed. He came about when his mother and his father engaged in sexual intercourse and he was concieved. However, something went wrong during conception and he came out horribly wrong. But I digress. FEG pretends to be people. This most likely stems from his dissatisfaction with himself. In short, he can't get no satifaction. See, it's funny, because is a lyric from a song. I don't know the artist, however. Or I just can't remember. But I digress again. FEG claimed that he was Plastic_People. Not that he was a person of plastic, however. He claimed to be a troll. A former troll on the FE8 boards. This troll had an astounding abilty to crush people in debates. He was hated by many until a user name Squid_Vicious, a.k.a Enraged_Squid, Bishop_Renault, and Squid_Vicous admitted he was Plastic_People. But I digress. However, FEG was late for the party. I'm sorry, that was bad. He was the last one on the train. Much better. He put text in his signature on GFAQs that stated he was Plastic_People. This was a lie. Squid was Plastic. And Plastic was Squid. He was told to remove the sig. He chose not to, and became hostile. This resulted in Squid returning to GFAQs to get him to remove it. He chose not to, and he was marked and Warned for impersonation. This meant he could noly make 10 psots a day. A day is 24 hours. He became angry and flamed users. Flaming is a clear insult of other users. He was marked again. After this, he jonied Squid's board, Land of the Squid. It is not a land of Squid, however. It jsut that the main administator was Squid. However, his name is now Ace Face, so the board should become Land of the Ace. Or Land of the Face. Or land of the Ace Face. But I digress. He was mocked constantly there, with users in power editting his profile. He responded by psoting a cheap version of the Garm essay that sucked badly. This si why I am making this essay. Because everyone hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hates him

Having finished my meaningless memoir post, it is now 2:47 in the morning. I may rest.

School bus crap, Day 2

School bus crap, Day 2
'Cuz I am that immature.
I realize that my blog post yesterday caused a good few people to believe that we(me and the kids I hang with on the bus) are immature assholes. So, to affirm that, I have to continue with today's events. I also want to state that the 6th graders were the ones to blame, for the most part, for the 'crush book' incident; generally we don't pick on little kids, just yell obscenities at them.

So, to start out our Friday afternoon, we polled the elementary kids about whether they preferred 'hot dogs' or 'tacos'. I'm not gonna state how we started the topic up, it's beside the point. Anyways, only about half the boys voted tacos, yet strangely every girl voted hot dogs. Maybe they had a better idea of what was going on, I dunno.

Well, after that, we picked on a freshman kid. Actually, he's the size of a junior, but when he's asleep, it doesn't matter, really. Starting off with a bit of nail polish we painted his nails green. From there we added some facial powder stuff and watercolor paint(my friend(not the one who got hot sauce poured on him) brought home his art project and took a watercolor set with him) to his arms and wrists. Then we added some mascara and wrote "bitch" across his face. To wrap it all up we quadruple-knotted his shoes to one of he seat's legs. About ten minutes before my brother and I would've gotten off we all decided we had to wake him up to see his reaction. At first all he noticed was his nails and wrists, and was moderately pissed. Then some dumbass little kid yelled at him, something about 'when did you grow a mustache on your cheek?'. He rubbed his face, caught a glimpse of his reflection in the window, and came completely unglued. He turned so red, and started yelling so loudly that you almost could have mistaken him for his dad, who was the driver when we had our small bonfire. He starts yelling about how bad he'll beat the shit out of whoever did it, yelling about how poor our excuse was(although in the end we convinced him that none of us riding at the time we woke up did it), etc. By the time we got off he still hadn't realized he was tied to the seat. I expect we'll end up in the office Monday morning during first period, as he is one of the staff's kids.
