Hello! A couple of months ago, we started displaying Adsense/Google ads on our website for guests only, and I am very glad to say that it finally paid off! We were able to afford a new powerful server holding the database and you can see the results now, the site is much faster for everyone, even our Canadian friends! This is only the first step of two: a new server will be delivered soon for hosting the website content and files. While transition will be a little longer (maybe a couple of hours) it should help improve the speed some more. We have hopefully settled to a solid architecture that we can stick to for a long while! This will allow the website to welcome more visitors simultaneously, without having too crappy speeds! Thank you everyone who clicked the ads, thanks to our sponsors for supporting the website, and thank you Google We have great projects for the future on GBAtemp, stay tuned for more details! ~Costello
Hello there, I've finally managed to get my game to run on the 360!
I've done a good progress on writing the engine and the map editor. Now I don't want to make any more progress until I find a graphic designer to help me with the sprites. Working on the graphics is a lot of work, and since I can't draw I've been using existing sprites & tiles from Zelda Minish Cap. For obvious copyright issues I won't be able to publish the game with these graphics so I'll need replacement ones!
If you think you can help (this is a serious project btw, it involves money ) please let me know! ~Costello
That's what I call team work alright! Narin and I have just finished polishing up a nice little new feature for the portal. You can now find out how many users are connected to the IRC channel as well as get the list of users that are connected. You'll find this on the portal in the online users box:
If you click on the amount of users you'll get the list of users online. The list is displayed in a neat ajax box ("highslide" library, google it).
We hope you enjoy this nice little extra. Costello & Narin
Large images on the forums & portal will now be resized using Highslide, an amazing script that does plenty of things. Please do a full refresh in your browser (Ctrl+F5) if you can't see the changes. Here are some photos I've taken near where I live, in France.
Neat stuff: when the image pops up, press the left or right arrow key to view the next or previous image (works like a gallery). I love it!
